Elora - set of 5 mini-skeins

Our Elora mini-skein sets are a perfect match for the upcoming Simply Fun Mystery Knit-along hosted by Paper Daisy Creations! We recommend placing your order by February 15 if you'd like to receive your yarn in time to cast on the first clue on March 2.

For sets with 2 light and 3 dark colours choose from Lantern Hill, Girl of the Limberlost, or Sun Wing. For sets with 3 light and 2 dark colours choose from Home is the Sailor, Swiftly tilting Planet, and Hundred Acre Wood. (We don't recommend Blackberry Subway Jam or Midnight Garden for this pattern, as there is less contrast between the colours in those sets.)

This yarn is spun from locally-sourced Canadian Norbouillet wool. We're only able to buy this special fleece once a year, so these yarns are available while supplies last. Please join our mailing list for all updates on Elora and our other limited-edition yarns.

Elora is a completely Canadian locally-sourced yarn. The Norbouillet (Rambouillet-cross) fleeces are purchased from Pine Hollow Farm in Ontario, sent to Wellington Fibres (a small mill) for spinning, before coming to us to be dyed in our Montreal studio. You can read more about the story of this yarn on our blog.

This fingering-weight wool is very fine, and is just as soft as our imported Merino. Our mini-skeins come in sets of 5 carefully chosen hand-dyed colours, perfect for colourwork or gradient patterns.

For more information on working with hand-dyed yarns, please see our FAQs page.
